Busy week for me, but I’m continuing on with the ice skating kick I seem to be on! I loved how the skates for the 200+ Members Group Gift turned out, I decided to make them in other leg warmer patterns. I am working on 3 more (eventually, busy with Real Life this week though), but right now, I have 3 in the store (and on the marketplace).
These skates also have a HUD to change the color of the boots, ties and pom-poms. The three change color at the same time/to the same color, not an individual thing. There are colors pre-loaded, or you can make your own with the microphone function.
Also, the skates have a skating animation option in the right boot, or you can wear the one without the animation… should you have your own skating animation or AO.
First up in this series are two legwarmers in a Nordic Knit Prints (one in blue and complimenting colors the other a red & grey Nordic print) and then a pretty pastel argyle print: Pink and Green with a brown stitch on a white knit.

I am so grateful for having great customers like you and having the ability to build and design in Second Life this year… among all the other blessings I am grateful for every day of my life.
If you are in the US, or maybe even if you’re not, you’ve heard all the hype over “Black Friday” sales. I despise Black Friday sales… it goes against everything I believe in.
I believe in thinking globally and acting/shopping locally.
I don’t believe in commercializing holidays and making it a consumer spectacle.
I do not support the “big box” companies.
I do not believe in consumerism and buying more than you need. Even if I’m a little guilty of breaking this rule myself!
And so much more is just wrong about that day. I also used to work in retail long ago, and that had to be the worst day of the year. I prefer to show my distaste for these hyped-up, falsely advertised “sales” by spending nothing that day (other than in SL of course!).
I do however fully support Shop Small Business Saturday. Even if it means you get less “stuff”, you are doing real good in your community by supporting your mom and pop shops. If you are going to buy something, why not buy something that makes you feel good and does good?
With this in mind, and since I’m a small business in Second Life, I am going to have a sale on Small Business Saturday — November 24th. . Everything in store will be 25% off. The Steals & Deals items will be in store at more than 50% off, but everything else is on sale too!
If you plan to do any holiday shopping this year in Real Life (or second life), I encourage you to think big, shop small and act locally.

Jazzitude update group has reached 200 Members! I can hardly believe it! When I opened the shop in world almost 1 year ago, I didn’t think a lot of this would ever get off the ground. While it’s still slow going trying to cover expenses some months, it doesn’t matter. I’m having fun, and I have some of the best customers on the grid, I swear. I have met some very cool people who are all very supportive.
I recently changed the shop to have snow and the party area now has an ice rink (instead of the dance floor). To celebrate the 200+ members, I have created a brand new design for you for free until December that you can use on the ice rink! The November group gift is still there, but you can find this one as well (right above Carmen in black on the first floor):
While you are there, check out this ice rink off to the side. Oh and by the way, these skates actually work! But it also is fun to “ice dance”… hehehe. I’ve also loaded the ice skating animation in the dance ball.

I am planning (depending on RL limitations) to have a party and mini hunt in December to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the in world shop, but for now, please enjoy your two group gifts!
The idea was to share what our favorite thing about Christmas is. I chose Christmas Morning as my inspiration… thinking back to when I was a child, Christmas morning was always my favorite.
I remember my older brothers pestering me to go wake up my parents so we could open presents. They thought, hey, she’s the youngest and a girl, they’ll fall for it… so what if it’s only 4AM? Unfortunately for them, I was not a morning person even as a child! They would throw a pillow at me, and I’d just take it to snuggle with and go back to sleep. I kid you not… I was (and still am) impossible to wake up.
Once we all did wake up, my father would torture us by not being ready to open presents in what seemed like FOREVER. He would drag it out as long as he could to enjoy the moment. Only problem was that we couldn’t open anything without him there in his chair. He loved Christmas Morning!
Most of my family passed away when I was quite young, so these are really treasured memories for me.
With this in mind, I designed for you as a gift: His & Hers Pajama sets. I fell in love with this pattern: It’s a modern Christmas/Winter pattern. I am giving you both a mesh t-shirt and a non mesh tank top in both. As a bonus, you also get a “chompable” candy cane and a stocking to hold or hang up.
They are no copy, but transferable and inside a gift box… using the same pattern for the “wrapping paper” design. One per customer.
For those of you in the U.S., I hope you have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving. I don’t mean to rush the season, and I don’t want to torture you with Christmas music, but since we are discussing Christmas, ummm… I can’t help it!
This is one of my favorite movies and favorite songs of the season. We would decorate the tree when this one was on the TV, and well since I’m all about embracing your uniqueness and going out there to discover who you are, I think it’s kind of perfect!
I have one more new thing to introduce to you, for now. I might get a little busy in Real Life again, so not sure when the next one will be, but now I have a new color combination of the Astrud set out in store: Green Heaven. The sweater is one of my favorite shades of green, a kind of light sage color, and is paired with some vintage floral pants and all the accessories:
Starting tomorrow, November 5th, a new hunt begins! I found out last minute I was accepted, but luckily I knew exactly what I wanted to do. The name of the hunt is “Taste The Rainbow” and it’s in support of LGBT Pride and alternative lifestyles… to bring them together and in a fun way! I wanted to be involved since this is an issue that I am passionate about and have been passionate about since I was a teenager. I have never, in all of my life, ever understood why love is so hard for some people to understand and accept. The way I see it is this world can be a cruel place, and we only have so long to live on this wonderful earth. If you find love, that’s what matters… and all that matters. Nothing is more important than love… not gender, religion or race. Love is all. Our life is a gift from our “creator” (whatever religion or not you believe in),and it should be fully treasured and shared with people you love.
Anyhow, I have two offerings for the hunt, one for men and one for women. They both feature a mesh t-shirt that says “Some people are gay. Get over it.” and paired with multi-color, paint splattered jeans. Both are inside the hunt item, but are no transfer.
The hunt is set to start at 6 PM SLT or there about. This is a new hunt group for me, but from what I understand, it works on a HUD… very high tech indeed! Make sure to check out the information sign in the front of the store.

Well, as I get out the final color combination for the Astrud outfit, which is one of my favorites, I wanted to explain how I came up with the names of the colors. They are names that remind me of music or songs. The name “Astrud” is for Astrud Gilberto, a favorite jazz singer of mine. Something about the slim crop pants made me think of the 60s, Audrey Hepburn and the like. Not sure what this all has to do with the name of Green Heaven, since that comes from this song by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but there you go! Probably more of a look inside how my brain works than you wanted though! LOL
It’s November, and that means new group gift in store for jazzitude group members! My group gifts are usually brand new, never released items that you will see more of soon in other color options. You get to be my test subjects… umm, I mean, you get an exclusive look at what is coming soon
This month is an outfit I’m calling “Carmen” and the first release for the group gift is in Black. It is a lingerie set with 4 different Chemises. Included is a matching thong, lace mask tattoo with feather prim attachments (one for each ear — wear one, both or none), stockings and feather stiletto’s (and of course all the feathers for the chest, upper and lower arms and feather flexi skirt). I am in love with this creation, and it just sort of flowed out of me effortlessly… well after a lot of head banging on how to make this fabric sheer enough but still have some nice shading! LOL.. but the prim parts came together rather effortlessly, which is a shock for me, that’s always my biggest challenge. Give me Photoshop and Illustrator any day!
